Thurlestone Beach House, South Devon

Despite being a relatively new building, Thurlestone Beach House required a complete re-roof due to a previous incorrect installation. The weather in the area can be particularly inclement and a number of the slates had lifted causing water ingress.

Our expert team, led by site supervisor Shaun used Spanish Del Carmen slates which was selected due to its unique colour and ability to maintain that colour even in constant direct sunlight.

Factory Cooperage – Royal William Yard, Plymouth

We were contracted to work on the prestigious refurbishment of this Grade I* listed building ‘Factory Cooperage’ into a contemporary space including art gallery, art studios and workshops. The historic Royal William Yard had many challenges: location, logistics, high heritage status, tight budget and an absolute program completion date.

We delivered on-time and within budget. The project used the finest Welsh slate from Cwt y Bugail Quarries of Blaenau Ffestiniog and was expertly fitted.

The Ship, Plymouth

We were recently invited by our client to conduct works at the iconic ship building in Plymouth. The building has been empty since the local paper relocated and has recently been bought a local developer to open again as a hub for local businesses. There were many leaks reported and a shattered skylight causing rain to pour in.

After an extensive survey of the roof the area was cleared of all contaminants and a liquid waterproofing membrane was applied. At very short notice local repairs were carried out to various facets of the roof, resulting in a watertight building and another satisfied customer.
